Gaurav Rai

Gaurav Rai is a seasoned hospitality executive with over 30 years of international experience leading hotel and resort operations across Asia, the Middle East, and Europe. An Australian national based in Ho Chi Minh City, he has a proven track record of driving performance, enhancing profitability, and delivering operational excellence across diverse, multi-brand portfolios.

In his previous role as Director of Operations / COO for Wink Hotels under Indochina Capital Kajima Vietnam, Gaurav oversaw seven hotels nationwide, achieving significant revenue growth and profitability improvements, including a 94% uplift in topline performance and multiple successful turnarounds.

Prior to that he served as Area General Manager and Corporate Head of F&B at Ascott International Vietnam, managing over 600 employees and shaping food and beverage strategy for more than 1,900 keys. His earlier leadership roles include Cluster General Manager with IHG Philippines and senior management positions with DAMAC Properties Dubai, IHG London, and IHG Malaysia, where he consistently delivered record GOP and guest satisfaction results.

Gaurav holds a Bachelor of Business Management in Tourism from Southern Cross University, Australia. Outside of work, he enjoys golf, running, travel, and exploring global hospitality trends.
